The U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) plans to conduct an evacuation drill in June to train soldiers to transport U.S. civilians living in South Korea to safety in the event of a contingency on the Korean Peninsula, sources said Sunday. The drill could take place in a realistic way in which soldiers would evacuate their family members and other civilians to places such as Japan by transport planes. Computer-simulated training could also be conducted instead of a realistic exercise, sources noted. Agents arrested two Mexicans previously convicted on Sex crimes On April 14, Willcox Station agents arrested 26-year-old Jesus Nieblas-Romero near San Simon, Arizona. During processing, agents conducted a records check and found he was convicted twice for illegal re-entry into the United States, and also convicted for sexual contact with a child in 2010. On April 17, Brian A. Terry Station agents arrested 28-year-old Nestor Franco-Guevara in Bisbee, Arizona. Severe damage to Interstate 20 was caused by a crew from Atlanta Gas Light Company as they were doing maintenance on an older pipe that ran underneath the highway. Only one injury occurred due to this event, Witnesses say the motorcyclist was thrown 10 to 15 feet in the air when the pavement began to crack and buckle upwards. All lanes of I-20 westbound were shut down after the crash as crews investigated what caused the road to buckle. Crews quickly began repairs to the roadway. The Georgia Department of Transportation reopened two lanes Monday afternoon, but said all lanes will not be open until at least noon on Tuesday. GDOT crews worked overnight to repair the road and all four lanes are currently open several hours ahead of schedule.

The first rail freight service, DB Cargo locomotive, set out carrying whisky, soft drinks, vitamins, pharmaceuticals and baby products from Stanford-le-Hope, Essex’s DP World London Gateway rail terminal. The train that is set to arrive at Yiwu, eastern China on April 27, will pass through the Channel Tunnel into France and on to Belgium. It will also call in Duisburg, Germany, through Poland, Belarus, Russia, and Kazahkstan. According to officials, the journey is more economical than air freight and faster than sea freight.
