Ohio’s capital city has launched a defense fund for illegal immigrants facing deportation and thousands of taxpayer dollars will go to the local chapter of a terrorist front group that promotes itself as a Muslim civil rights organization. The pot of cash is known as Columbus Families Together Fund and the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), a national organization that serves as the U.S. front for the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, will be among the recipients. CAIR was founded in 1994 by three Middle Eastern extremists (Omar Ahmad, Nihad Awad, and Rafeeq Jaber) who ran the American propaganda wing of Hamas, known then as the Islamic Association for Palestine. In 2008 CAIR was a co-conspirator in a federal terror-finance case involving the Hamas front group Holy Land Foun
A new study by the U.S. Geological Survey and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates about 2.1 million people in the U.S. may be getting their drinking water from private domestic wells considered to have high concentrations of arsenic, presumed to be from natural sources. “About 44 million people in the lower 48 states use water from domestic wells,” said Joe Ayotte, a USGS hydrologist and lead author of the study. “While we’re confident our research will help well owners understand if they live in an area of higher risk for arsenic, the only way for them to be certain of what’s in their water is to have it tested.” Using a standard of 10 micrograms of arsenic per liter -- the maximum contaminant level allowed for public water supplies -- the researchers developed maps of th
The National Archives has until next Thursday to disclose the remaining files related to Kennedy’s 1963 assassination. Subject to the receipt of further information, I will be allowing, as President, the long blocked and classified JFK FILES to be opened. — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 21, 2017 But Trump could have blocked the release on the grounds that making the material public would harm intelligence, law enforcement, military operations or foreign relations. The documents include more than 3,000 that have never been seen by the public and more than 30,000 that have been previously released, but with redactions. This leads me to believe that the possibility of these documents not being redacted is strong. Also noting it's 33,000 pages. According to the Act, all records

A Clark County judge granted a temporary restraining order Thursday to prevent MGM Resorts International from destroying any evidence related to the massacre at the Route 91 Harvest music festival. Lawyers for a California woman who was shot and critically wounded during the Oct. 1 concert filed a lawsuit last week, asking for a judge to stop MGM from destroying video surveillance or any information the casino operator may have related to gunman Stephen Paddock, who authorities have said frequented gambling establishments and fired on the festival crowd from a suite at Mandalay Bay. The order was sought by attorneys who represent Rachel Sheppard, a California woman who survived the attack, despite being shot in the chest three times. “The shooter was in that hotel for six days,” says

“Is uranium at the heart of the … standoff? That’s the question I’m asking. It isn’t a flippant question. I realize there are many other issue swirling around this event … This article isn’t meant to take apart those matters.” What he does point to, however, is a U.S. Bureau of Land Management notation that’s titled, “Uranium on BLM-Administered Lands in OR/WA,” that talks about a May 2012 presentation from Oregon Energy LLC to develop a uranium oxide mine, in concert with the Department of Fish and Wildlife, in “southern Malheur County in southeastern Oregon,” Rappoport wrote. “In September 2011, a representative from Oregon Energy, L.L.C. (formally Uranium One), met with local citizens, and county and state officials, to discuss the possibility of opening a uranium oxide (‘yellowcake’)

Facial detection technology in the new Piccadilly Circus lights is "incredibly intrusive", according to privacy campaigners. The revamped screen in central London will be turned on later in October in a space where 100 million people pass each month. Cameras hidden in the screen will detect people's faces, figuring out their age, gender and mood, and use that to tailor brand messages. According to Ocean Outlook, the company that provides the screen's technology, the system can detect people's age and gender with 90% accuracy. The system can identify the makes of vehicles and will also feature Wi-Fi to let people interact with the screen, but also potentially to track mobile devices. Privacy campaigners say signs should be put up in Piccadilly Circus to inform the publi...
