A Las Vegas casino company says the security guard who was shot and wounded by Stephen Paddock and disappeared before he was about to give TV interviews is safe and wants people to respect his privacy. MGM Resorts International spokeswoman Debra DeShong said in statement Tuesday that Jesus Campos will tell his story when he is ready. MGM Resorts owns the Mandalay Bay hotel, where Paddock shot Ramos before he opened fire on country music concertgoers from his 32nd floor suite and killed 58 people. DeShong made the statement after a representative for Campos' union said he prepared last Thursday for TV appearances but went to a health clinic instead. Greg Abbott, 20 year veteran of the Cobb County Police Department of the West Georgia region, was officially fired late Thursday afternoon due to a comment that he made during a routine traffic stop. Abbott asked a passenger of the vehicle to why they refused to lower their hands during the stop and was answered with, "...I've seen too many videos of people of people killing people." He answered, with, "but you're not black. Remember, we only kill black people. Yeah. We only kill black people, right?" More details will be posted when they are available.

Police have made an arrest after an armed man was seen walking around Manchester city centre with a crossbow and a knife. Officers swooped on Tib Street near Ancoats at around 2.30pm today. A man was detained and arrested and it is understood police used a Taser as they attempted to detain the man. Posts on social media appear to show a man being arrested on Great Ancoats Street. A GMP spokesman said: "We were called at 2.30pm to reports of a man walking around with a crossbow and a knife on Tib Street in Manchester city centre. "A man was detained and has been arrested." On Monday July 3, 2017, at 4:17 a.m., two East Precinct officers working in a partner car were driving eastbound on Southeast Flavel Street at 72nd Avenue, heading to a call at the 7-Eleven at 82nd Avenue and Flavel Street. As they crossed through the intersection with a green light, they were struck on the driver's side by another vehicle that was being driven southbound on 72nd Avenue though a red light. The marked police car came to rest on the sidewalk, south of the intersection. The other driver's car came to rest in the street just south of the intersection. Late Saturday evening, reports of a crash involving a small, twin-engine plane out of Tennessee crashed in Chatsworth, Georgia. Chatsworth is located in Murray County. Authorities have confirmed that there four on the aircraft and none of them survived. The Sheriff of Murray County says that there was heavy rain in the area prior to the crash, and he has contacted the Federal Aviation Administration. There is still a Flash Flood Watch in affect in the area until 10:00pm EST. Initial reports to authorities noted the plane was on fire before it came down. Authorities also said they found a “highly relevant” flat, believed to be the “final assembly place” of the explosive device.
